Holy Week Opportunities Maundy Thursday is observed on the fifth of April. We will be worshipping around tables in the shape of the cross in our fellowship hall at 7 p.m. We will worship with songs and prayers, have a brief time in the Word, share the Last Supper together and experience a Tennebrae Service, a Liturgy of Light and Shadow. On April 6, 7:00 p.m. the Community Good Friday service will be held at St. Luke's Catholic Church. Everyone is invited to come and share in the observance of the crucifixion and death of our Savior Jesus.
Events for Easter Sunday
Up from the Grave He Arose! We all are invited to rise up and share an extra measure of joy as we join in our Celebration of Resurrection. You are invited to be in worship this Resurrection Day, the eighth of April.
A brief Sunrise Service will be held at 8:30 a.m. downstairs in the Fireside Chapel room. This year we present the Good News of Jesus Resurrection through a presentation by our puppets. We'll enjoy our singing and prayers as we greet our Risen God and King, JESUS!
We will begin serving our Sunrise Breakfast at the conclusion of the Sunrise Service, around 9:15. This will be a full breakfast with enough variety to satisfy the most discerning of tastes.
The main Resurrection Celebration will be held at 11:00. Along with the Choral Introit and Anthem from our Chancel Choir we will also enjoy the musical offerings of our Handbell Choir--the Glory Bells. You will want to count on being in worship at least an hour and a quarter to enjoy all the elements that are planned for this service.
